STM Towers mechanical ventilation station – Acoustics and vibration reception

Global description

The construction of the infrastructures of the STM Towers mechanical ventilation station was completed in the fall of 2021. The company Atelier 7hz was mandated to carry out the acoustic tests after the work requested by the project specifications. The objective was to validate the sound power levels at the inlets and outlets of the silencers of the ventilation units.

Challenges

Various reception measurements were carried out: measurements of the sound power levels at the outlet of the silencers by intensity measurement, compliance measurements outside near the ventilation station, measurements of the sound pressure levels in the tunnel, and acoustic measurements at the inside the ventilation station.
