Chambly Cultural Center
The project includes two different spaces: the concert hall and the library. In addition to those spaces, public transition places were also studied. The following sections have been examined:
- Room acoustics and intelligibility in the concert hall
- Reverberation in the library
- Ventilation systems noise: interior comfort and exterior compliance
- Acoustic isolation between different spaces and the building envelope
The main challenge lay in the design of the theater which had to be very versatile. Thereby, modular and adaptable acoustics have been designed with the professional software EASE. Recessed reflectors and different acoustic materials have been clearly defined for the project.
