UQAM is a renowned university in Montreal. Study and research premises need ideal acoustics in order to allow work in the best conditions. It is in this context that the airborne sound insulation of a research room in the linguistics department was studied and recommendations provided for improving the acoustics.
Main challenges
The challenges were varied for this project, recommendations were issued for the glazing, the doors, and the details of the realization of the partitions of the research room.
